Genital skin infection
I take Glycomet GP 1 mg one daily, Janumet 50/500 twice daily. My GP added Jardiance 10 about 10 months back. After starting Jardiance Sugar levels are in good control. But I suffered severe penis skin infection in March and got cured by a skin specialist. Infection Came back again and this time it’s not getting cured. My GP says it’s due to Jardiance. He wants me to stop taking it and increased my glympiride dose to three times. What should I do? I am 50 yrs old having diabetes from last 13 yrs

Jardiance does cause recurrent genital fungal infections like in your case. Usually, the infections settle with local treatment. However, if not settling, it is recommended to stop the medicine temporarily. Other medicines will need to be adjusted according to your current sugar levels
