I had a fusion at l4-s1 about 4 yrs ago. There is also an artificial disc at the l4-5 level. Recently I've been having a lot of pain when I bend forward and try to straighten back up. I had an xray done and it shows anterolisthesis of l4 on l5 of 4.8 mm which increases with flexion to 5.3. My doctor wants me to see a surgeon. He says it should not be moving like this since it's fused. I also looked at previous xrays, and 1 month after the fusion I had anterolisthesis at that level of 3 mm with flexion. Why did nobody tell me this was happening? What do they do to fix this? Thank you.
