Hi, The best results can be achieved with Orthodontic Treatment (Braces). laminates and fillings will give wide appearance to your teeth, that will not look good at this young age. Consult some ORTHODONTIST regarding your case. NIGHT-GUARDS are made to protect opposing teeth from wearing off further. REGARDS - Dr. Ankit R.Upadhyaya, URBAN SMILES, GALLERIA MARKET, GURGAON

Good Morning. Based on the picture, it seems like the gap is confined to the two front teeth and not generalised ( at-least not evident on the picture ). It mostly likely that you have a lower than normal placed Frenum ( the fold of tissue that extends from to your upper lip to the gum) which has resulted in the spacing. Since your just 23, you should seek an opinion from an Orthodontist who will advise you about closure of the space with braces but it'll involve treatment for Frenum ( if it's the cause) carried out by a periodontist ( gum specialist). Veneers / Composite closure especially confined to 2 teeth does not sound like a good idea in my opinion as : 1) veneers are not preferred if you have a bite issue and are a grinder as you'll end up cracking the veneer. 2) Putting on just two veneers or space closure with composite will give you bunny teeth, as the resultant size of the teeth will be broader than normal. 3) Crowns are preferred to space closure of bigger sizes compared to veneers. So you have to basically consult an orthodontist in your area and ask for a plan and see if the plan works for you. Orthodontic treatment involves a lot of commitment from your end and you should want to do it for the final result. An alternative would be a smile design involving a combination of crowns and veneers ( where feasible) but this will involve prep and placement of veneers / crowns on atleast 6 - 8 teeth to symmetrically distribute the space. I would also suggest you wear the mouth guard and seek further opinion if needed from an orthodontist / oral medicine specialist / Dentist with an interest in Occlusion and Joint disorders for the grinding. Hope that helps.

hello, The gap between your teeth can be closed by: 1. orthodontic (braces) treatment which is the best and most conservative treatment. 2. veneers 3. crowns If you are grinding or clenching your teeth during daytime or at night, your molars are going to wear out. So, ask your dentist for a night guard.

Hi.. Ya there too much gap in your front  teeth.Laminate will not work as gap is large. Two anterior crown also will not enhance  your smile.Better go for smile design that will include  crown  on all the anterior four teeth mean both central and lateral incisor. Then only you will get perfect smile.Thanks.

Dear Practo User, If you want a long term treatment, then go for laminates. Direct veneering or filling is esthetically equally good but in long run it tends to get discolored. About night guard, if you have a habit of clenching your teeth then you should definitely go for that. Regards Arham Dental Care Delhi

Laminates are not a good option as it will involve trimming of natural tooth structure, you should go for braces which will naturally close your gap without harming the existing teeth.Visit an Orthodontist for braces soon.

Hi ,For your back teeth which are worn out is maybe because you grind teeth at night for which you have to wear nightguard (plastic trays covering upper & lower teeth )to be worn at night .But for the gap Braces treatment is the best option so that both upper & lower gaps will be closed along with bite rectification as night grinding could be because of abnormal bite. Please visit a braces specialist who will guide you.
