I am having this problem of frequent urination since 4 days. I go to the bathroom in every 2 hours. Sometimes I feel pain while urinating and sometimes its normal but the frequency is the main issue. At first I thought its a UTI because I have had it a few months before. Also I have this slight discomfort while urinating so out of my doubt, I got my urine routine and urine culture tests done. They came out to be completely normal with everything within the range. Also to be noted here is that I have an active sex life although I use protection, once in a while I indulge unprotected oral sex. I read online that frequent urination is an early symptom of pregancy. So to clear my doubt, I took 2 home pregancy tests and they came out to be negative. So if this isn't a case of UTI nor am I pregnant, then what is my problem? Should I take another pregnancy test? Or should I do something else? Please suggest!

Hi there I understand your concern...most common cause is urinary tract infection since its ruled out...An overactive bladder is another common cause of frequent urination....other possibilities are injuries, conditions affecting muscles, nerves, and tissues, estrogen deficiency, excess body weight that places extra pressure on the bladder.,Excessive caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol may also irritate the bladder walls and can worsen frequent urination symptoms...consult nearest physician they will help you further.
