Hair oil doesn't effect your hair growth they just moisture it slightly so they dont look dry other wise there is no benefit of applying hair oil and all oils are same you can apply whatever suits you. For balding hairs you should consult a dermatologist who will give minoxidil based treatment to you he can also suggest other options of treatment according to your grading and severity of hair loss.
