For Cancer diagnosis

Hello, I have lipoma in a lot of places in my body(around 50+). I am convinced with the explanation given by some experienced doctors and am thankful for their say. I want to clear my mind of the anxiety about cancer. I would like to know how to diagnose about cancer? What tests should I take to rule out the doubt completely? Are there any chances of contracting it with the bad habit of smoking. I have been smoking since like 3 years(not desperately, but casually). I don't consume alcohol. I have resolved to quit smoking completely. Please advice. Thanks.
