Flu vaccine is to be taken every year before the monsoon or winter for kids below 5 years
It does not prevent the covid disease
It prevents the influenza which is common in this season

Flu vaccination is recommended each year in children.But it certainly can't prevent covid .You have not mentioned the age of your child and whether he/she has received this vaccine previously.
