Fingers popping increased
Off late, my fingers have been popping a lot. A few weeks back, I went through a phase of low sleep. Since then my fingers have this extremely mild pain. It initially reduced my grip strength, which i noted while working out. But now my grip strength is back. But my finger joints are still popping a lot. I mean, I only pop them, but I feel a strong urge to, because of the slight pain/discomfort. Can you please tell me what this problem could be. And how to resolve it

Dear Sir, If your job profile includes long hours of sitting and working on the computer/laptop ,then your symptoms are suggestive of neck involved. With continuous stress at the neck , the neck musculature tends to get tight and eventually compress the neural structures passing underneath it.
Next Steps
Take hot packs at the neck at bedtime.

Your fatigue in the hands is probably due to your neck. You could be having spasm in the neck region and this is because of less sleep.
Next Steps
Get adequate rest every night. Take warm showers twice a day. And start doing stretches for the neck and upper back. Learn these exercises from a Physiotherapist.
Health Tips
Rest/ good night sleep is important. There's no substitute for rest.

Hello. Please can you tell what your profession is? Does it involve manual work? Any previous history of trauma to hand/wrist/elbow/shoulder/neck? Do you have any numbness in the hand? At 36, the likely causes for your symptoms may include either a systemic illness (e.g. early inflammatory arthritis- therefore family history important) or a nerve compression (carpal or cubital tunnel syndrome- this should however cause pins & needles in hand with pain affecting certain digits). Sometimes this could be due to a neck problem (do you have neck pain?).
Next Steps
Initially I would recommend seeing a hand specialist or orthopaedic surgeon for detailed assessment. However, please do not worry as it doesn't sound very serious.
