Fever + runny nose + hoarse voice
My baby is 11.5 months old, weighs ~8.6 kg. Fever around 38°C, which comes down after paracetamol but returns after its effect wears off. Baby has a runny nose and initially had 3–4 loose stools, but stools are now normal. Since yesterday, the baby's cry has become hoarse and there is mild “kharr-kharr” noisy breathing even during sleep. Baby is feeding and urinating normally. Please advise whether this is likely a viral infection, laryngitis/croup, or something else, and what treatment is needed. Is Solvin Cold safe at this age?

Hello From your history it is inclined more towards viral infection. The sound could be due to nose block. You can use nasoclear saline nasal drops. Solvin cold is combination formulation which can be avoided. Continue paracetamol drops every 6 belt if temperature is above100F. Watch for increased respiratory rate, difficulty in breathing, cough, persisting vomiting, loose stools, ursine output.Maintain hydration and continue breast feeding. Croup has characteristic barking cough but if you find any difficulty in breathing, cough you can consult your paediatrician.
