if fever is not controlled by paracetamol, give Syp Meftal P 2.5ml three times a day for 3 days. Does she have any other symptoms?
Next Steps
Also don't repeat Paracetamol within 5 hrs. Use Syp Meftal and sponging with tap water. For any queries consult me directly.

If no other symptoms, could be a viral fever; which will last 3-4 days. Keep checking the temp and give Paracetamol every 6-8 hours. Regarding the dosage, depends on the weight of your baby. 2.5ml of Paracetamol 25g/5ml is for a baby of 8-8.5kg weight. If weight is more or less, please consult me for the correct dosage. Do tepid sponging as well. Book a consultation with me to discuss further. You can follow me on Instagram @pediatrician_india for helpful tips ! Take care !

Hello,as a parent you will be panicked by seeing your child running high grade fever. But if your child is active in between febrile episodes and oral intake is moderate and passing urine atleast 6 times per day and baby is not having rash then no need to worry. It takes some time for the paracetomol to work.Dose of paracetomol is 15 mg per kg,you should wait for atleast 6 hours to repeat next dose.In the meanwhile you can consider tepid sponging with lukewarm water.Paracetomol is the safest medicine for fever if used at right dose and right frequency
