Hello, among the birth fractures, femur fracture is a known thing, in a child less than a less a harness or a bandage helps. The fracture usually heals in 3-5 weeks, showing good callus on xray. U might notice some swelling which is the new bone formation and also some bowing, do not worry, kids are blessed and all the fractures in newborns heal wonderfully within less than 2 months and remodel to become almost normal in less than a year.
Next Steps
Do not worry, the bandage/ pavlik harness will be off soon.
Health Tips
Do not massage the thigh after the bandage is removed
