Feeding for 3-4 mins per session
Hello doctor, My 17 days old baby girl is taking feed for 3-4 mins and then she stops and sleep. Is this his normal that she feeds for less time ? My milk flow is heavy. She takes feed every hour in night and every 2.5 hr in day.   Her birth weight was 3.24 kg and on day 17 she is 3.6 kg.

Baby weight gain for 17 days is adequate. But u need to feed the baby every 2-3 hours gap for 10-15 mins followed by burping for 10 mins.. don't give hourly feeds. Both feed and sleep is important for growth of the baby.
Next Steps
Better have consultation with me or any near by lactation specialist for better understanding as on messge it's difficult to explain.
