Excessive of any anything is bad, excessive flatulence could be because of complex food you are taking in your diet, that your digestive tract is unable to digest. If it it for long time, then it could be because of underlying digestive tract disorder i.e. IBS ( Inflammatory Bowel syndrome). It also depends upon patients age.
