Facial swelling and fever
My 18 month old baby has fever on and off and facial swelling since last 5 days.i have been giving him ibugelsic plus for pain and  fever. Fever subsides after taking medicine but comes back after 9-10hours.also he seems to have pain on his facial swelling and could be a gum or teething issue.  The doc I took him to yesterday changed medicine to plain Calpol and Advent (anti -biotics).But Calpol doesn't seem to be helping with his pain.He doesn't have fever now. Please see the prescription. The doctor didn't open his mouth to check his gums due to fear of Corona I guess. Not sure if what I can give him to relieve his pain. Don't want to keep giving him Ibugelsic Plus for pain when he doesn't have fever. He just seems to be in pain now. Any advise?

The swelling associated with fever could be due to infection of lymph nodes or salivary gland in that region, which can be confirmed on examining the kid. Give syp ibugesic plus 5ml three times a day for pain.
Next Steps
consult a pediatrician near your home for detailed examination of your baby.
