Hello Doctor, my name s Suman.. I'm 25 yr old.. I have a facial hair issue.. like upper lip,chin, & sides.. I'm not in any medication soo,plz help me out from this problem .. I have hormonal problem and I'm gaining weight too... Like I have full dark black hair in chin and sides.. I have been doing threading and waxing past from 2 and a half yr... I'm from Tamil Nadu , vellore district..

Excessive hair growth on the face is called hirsutism. It can be reduced with laser treatment. But before undergoing laser procedure, you can to undergo proper examination with detailed history about your periods to know if there are any hormonal disturbances. Polycystic ovaries are very common underlying cause for hirsutism. Unless the underlying cause is found and treated, there is no point treating the hair growth because it may recur after laser treatment. Please send photos with detailed history for further advice.
