Yes, Frisium is not recommended for febrile seizure nowadays. You must control temperature by giving paracetamol round the clock if temp > 99.5 deg F. Tepid sponging (sponging entire body with room temperature water) whenever fever > 100 deg F. In case child has a febrile seizure again, please do not panic. You must put child in side lying position and take note of the time it started. Generally it subsides within 2-3 minutes. If febrile seizure lasts more than 5 minutes, you must rush to hospital. You can keep a Midazolam nasal spray handy, if seizure lasts more than 5 mins. Dose will be according to weight of the child. This spray has side effect of causing drowsiness and breathing difficulty in baby. So baby should be observed post spray in a clinical set-up. If seizures frequently last for more than 5 mins , more than one time and sometimes seizure comes without fever, then you should meet a pediatrician / neurologist.

Hello, Frisium is no more recommended in febrile seizure. You just need to control the temperature effectively whenever child has fever.
