Exposed to sulphuric acid mist
I am a jeweler and work with sulphuric acid diluted with water, approximately 1:10 One year I had a cold and a colleague accidentally exposed me to an acidic mist as quenching hot metal sent steam in my face. Since then when I have a cold, I always have a persistent cough. This happened yesterday and I wonder if there is anything to sooth throat?

You seem to be suffering from viral upper respiratory tract infection which is a common type of throat infection in this season. You may need to take antibiotics, anti cold medicines and cough syrups for few days. Your symptoms are not related to sulphuric acid
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
