Endometrium thickness
My aunt is 53 now she had her periods stopped before but now after 2 years she is having her period now we visited doctor she took scan and said her endometrium size is 3.6cm and polyp is present Now they say 10 percent chances are there for cancer So is that true it is harmful or not What is the percentage of cancer for my aunt we are all so much worried pls give us solutions

Your aunt falls into the age group for endometrial cancer. The presentation is classically like this of postmenopausal bleeding. She will need a D& C for confirmation and MRI to evaluate the stage. Majority of the endometrial cancer are early like stage 1 or 2 and are usually curable
