Dryness around mouth due to deriva bpo
My skin is oily but usually dry around the mouth. Now lately I had acne vulgaris problem for which a doctor advised me to apply deriva bpo gel all over my face at night. This has caused dryness around my mouth (slight redness also) and I am afraid if it may lead to discolouration or pigmentation.

Hello dear. Deriva BPO is an excellent gel for your acne. However, it can cause some discomfort in some individuals, especially if it is applied very heavily and for prolonged periods You can skip this gel for a couple of days and moisturise your skin liberally. You may then restart the gel. Should you have any other questions, feel free to contact me. You can visit my clinic in Delhi also.

Avoid applying deriva bpo near eyes and mouth. Apply moisturizer twice a day and esp before applying deriva bpo. Use of sunscreen is a must.
