Dry eyes due to mgd
Ok i have mgd as i have evaporative dry eye my doctor always gives me fml drops for some time and i am on hyla pf drops preservative free which are better than others my condition had improved but the thing is i want drops containing some kind of oil which protects the lipid layer of my eye i have tried genteal gel ointment refresh tears systane ultra eco moist opti moist no one suited me i please recommend me drops contain some oil to protect the lapid layes so my tears do not evaporate and the drops which don't have side effects or dont require prescription i checked soothe xp from Bauch and lomb but not available in india any other please recommend

MGD means your glands are already hyperactive and producing more oil! Oil can not be used to prevent evaporation as it will stick to the eye and enhance dryness. You need a proper counselling and management programme. Lubricating drops/punctum plugs/ massage therapy/ secretion stimulants etc may be required in due course
