Dry cough in pregnancy

My 5 week pregnant wife suffers from acute dry cough. Her gynecologist prescriber montair lc for 5 days. Is it ok? Will it solve her problem?

It is likely to be allergic cough in which case that medicine will help.. Try to take steam inhalation twice a day for a few days.. There will be improvement..
