Hello It is always ideal if an user is compliant and motivated for treatment. Start by holding an intervention for your friend with some loved ones. Speak about how the drugs are making him or her a different person all together.

Hi sir Thanks for seeking help here. To be honest ....it's really a challenge to quit substance in this age group. The age group you mentioned usually fall again and gain into this behaviour because of peer influences. He really does not feel there is a need to quit. When you enjoy something and you like it so much then why you should quit. In young substance use disorder usually we face multiple challenges like this. They rationalize everytime. I think only we can deal it by adding appropriate medication with motivation enhancement therapy. Don't feel bad he may not able to quit in one shot. But we will persist and we will roll with the resistance. The sad part of the most INDIAN de-addiction centre....most of the centre are not occupied with trained people. So the way they try to quit is really not acceptable by patients. It's a punishment not reinforcement.
Next Steps
