Don't want RCT done
My son had cavities in the lower teeth and the neighbourhood doctor suggested RCT. I went through the many websites as I wanted to avoid RCT. I asked him to cap the cavity and started re-mineralisation by giving Vitamin D - clarified butter - ghee and cod liver oil etc. He doesn't complain of pain , but I just want to be sure all is ok inside his teeth. I am still not in favour of getting the RCT done and want to treat him with natural methods - no surgery.

Hello A decayed tooth is not treated with natural methods. You can switch doctor if you have doubt on treatment plan. If RCT is suggested then it is the only way to save this tooth. RCT is to save this tooth, it is safe.

there are no natural mehods to treat a decayed tooth. if radiograph and clinical situation demands rct you have to go for it. avoiding rct will lead eventually to a situation for tooth removal in a year or even less. dental diseases are not always painful. slowly it will worsen and you will loose even chance of rct.

If ur son is not having any problems then most probabely the teeth was not indicated for RCT , maybe the diagnostic x ray had some artifacts . There is no proven clinical study supporting ur butter ghee theory. There are some sometological research going on stem cell , but still in research stage.

If he is indicated & advised RCT unfortunately there's no other way out but if you still insist you may take another professional opinion for your satisfaction.  also I would suggest you out up the xray here on this forum probably someone might be able to help you. Hope this helps

Hello Sir, As per your question, RCT is suggested in your son teeth and you want to avoid it. I must say that if it is diagnosed for rct, you must go for it. There is no alternative of rct, no medical remedy can replace the necessity of rct. It is better to get it done as soon as possible. Regards, Dr Vishal Jain. I think you have a misconception regarding rct.first and foremost get an iopa xraydone ,if tooth is exposed or very near to exposure you are not left with any choice but to get rct done.By avoiding root canal you are not doing any good to your son's tooth rather you are aggravating his problem .By delaying it could lead to extraction of offending tooth.Once tooth is exposed it cantbe treated with any natural methods as you said.Root canal is absolutely painless and is done under local anaesthesia and now a days single sitting rct is in trend &only after you get his rct done then only a cap or a crown should be placed on tooth.

Dear Sir If a RCT is recommended then it is always better to go for one. An x Ray will be helpful to discuss the same issue. If a cavity is there deep and close to nerve or involving a nerve then it is better to go for RCT. A simple capping might not give you pain now but can cause problem in near future. Regards

Firstly if you have xrays plz share in this platform, that can help us to give an opinion about treatment, as adviced by your dentist if tooth requires rct there are no any natural/manual methods to avoid it, your son not complaining pain it may because of fear of dental treatment, but tooth according to his age is permanent , so dont avoid or delay, take second opinion and go for  better one
