Dog bite and treatment
Sir,I was attacked by a female dog by mouth on15 March on my hip.As iwas wearing a jeans pant,shirt in and underwear,there was neither a cut nor any abrasion.Only at one point,there was a smallest swelling equal to a grain of rice on which i had applied dettol and washed with soap.Even then i started taking Abhayrab antirabies vaccines from 20 March and till now i have taken four doses of Abhayrab im vaccines.My question is that was it necessary for me to take PEP rabies vaccines?Should i tak e the fifth dose of the vaccine?Should i also take booster vaccine after 90 days?Should i also go for rffit test?That female dog is still in good health? Kindly advise me.Regards.
