Hello sir, does one CT scan cause cancer? I have read some people got blood cancer after one CT scan... How much time it take to get cancer after ct scan???

No. One CT does not. There are permissible limits of radiation exposure for general population, pregnant women and foetus. For general persons whole body exposure is 5 mSv. CT of chest or abdomen may expose you to 8 mSv each. But that doesn’t mean that single exposure will lead to cancer. I will assure you to be calm and not worry. In order to detect cancer early, we can follow screening as advised for cancer by meeting an oncologist near you. Also to avoid cancer, we can follow a healthy life style with adequate weekly exercise and good diet, with avoiding harmful habits like smoking, tobacco chewing or consuming alcohol beyond permissible limits.
