Do I have jaw fracture? RCT?
I have lower jaw pain , ear pain for 2 months. It now radiates to neck. I don't know if it's from TMJ or tooth crack in lower molar#46. Dentist took CBCT scan also. But couldn't see the crack or fracture in that tooth. But he said it's unpredictable and told me to extract#46. Also told me to extract the upper right wisdom tooth and I did that 20 days back. Still have the same symptoms. Now I have to treat this cracked tooth or tmj. Don't know which is causing the problem. One of the practo dentist said I have jaw fracture. Can anyone see any fracture in the jaw. Please help. Also, how to know if I have a crack and RCT needed for that? They did cold bite test and spray test. I felt very sensitive to cold spray test and felt soreness for 10to 20 seconds after. During bite test, I felt pain and sensitivity to bite on one spot on that lower molar tooth. So they said I have a minor crack. Does this minor crack needs RCT treatment? Please help.

Please visit nearest clinic with your cbct report to assess the situation. Try to reach out to a oral and maxillofacial surgeon or an endodontist. For another opinion.

Extraction is not at all indicated if it's a fracture also until unless fracture line is going till roots and if it's a vertical fracture. We can go for an root canal to prevent sensitivity due to the fracture and prevent further increase in fracture line by doing a good bonded filling.  To examine fracture extension in tooth we need a microscope and dye to detect perfectly . We are specialized in micro dentistry where all kind of treatments are done under microscope . Kindly think twice before going for extraction of the tooth . One the natural tooth is gone then by no means u will get the same comfort as your own tooth . 👍
Next Steps
get it checked under microscope once
