Do I have a Depression?
I am irritable, thinking of suicidal thoughts, can't concentrate, and difficult in remembering things. Is it mean that I am depressed?

Hello practo user I can understand the difficult situation you are currently going through in your life . It seems that you are going through some stress in your life which is contributing to your negative thinking and decreased attention and concentration span . You can try and practice deep breathing and meditation to calm your mind , download some concentration building apps on your phone and spend some time daily doing those activities . Try and surround yourself with positive and happy family members and friends and engage in enjoyable activities with them . Try and go for regular exercise to keep you healthy physically and emotionally as well . It is advisable you seek help from a clinical psychologist for a proper understanding of your case and a personalized treatment plan which will benefit you and also help you deal with stressful life events by using positive and healthy skills and techniques . Feeling low, having crying spells, sleep and appetite disturbances, and difficulty in concentration and attention are some of the signs of Depression. Consult a Psychiatrist for a detailed assessment. It is likely with medication and counselings the symptoms will improve. If you are feeling suicidal or hopeless consult a Psychiatrist immediately.
