Discoloured Tooth
I used plates when I was young to push a tooth inside, due to that one of my front tooth died and is discoloured now. What are the options if I want to avoid dental crown

Please do as my friend Dr Suman has suggested ...don't go for extraction or anything else, least invasive will be ...RCT and non vital bleaching ,

trays to push teeth back is bad treatment , should have gone to a qualified doc n have  got fixed braces...now cannot change what has happened so now go to a Endodontist for correct treatment

If you want to avoid dental crown then the teeth need to be extracted and if the bone is adequate then Implant can be done , but I advise you to go for a crown so that we can save the tooth so that a surgery for an implant can be avoided and this case can be easily treated with Zirconia crown , since it provides good aesthetic results . Otherwise we need to do unnecessary surgery and place an implant which is not recommended in this case

Hello Mam, If the tooth is dead,then a Root canal treatment is a mandatory procedure to save the tooth and prevent the spread of infection.Cosmetic options like Veneers/Laminates or Non vital tooth bleaching can mask the discoloration.Regards,Dr Sumanmakam,Dental arts,jayanagar,Bangalore.
