Diarrhoea for 1 year 9 month old baby
My baby is having  loose tool 4 to 5 times a day for the past 1 week. Given antibiotics also prescribed by doctor for 5 days. But not yet cured . She is active and taking food normally. What's the next step Please help

Give ORS. Probiotic specific to lactobacillus rhamnosus gg. Syp zinc 20mg

Probiotics should be given If not Maintain hydration No more antibiotics needed

If loose stools are watery without fever, dehydration. You can wait and continue hydration, replace every loose stool with ORS. Watch for warning signs like decreased activity, dullness, blood in stools, decreased urine output .if any present consult your Pediatrician.
