Diagnosis as ADHD & LD
He is very active in other activity other than studies. Not able to put full focus in studies and seat in one place for long time. Can spent hours together on video games and TV. Can you please suggest any home based treatment for this.

Hello! For a ten year old boy, some of these behaviors may be normal. But if he is not able to attend to any tasks for a long time I would suggest you get him screened for ADHD from a psychiatrist and follow his further suggestions. Home based therapies exist but the child and parents need to be trained initially by a therapist for the same and later continue that work at home. Hope this helps.

You have mentioned ADHD & LD, by which I presume that you mean Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Learning Disability. If you have already shown him to a psychiatrist, please follow his/her instructions. Regarding Alternate Medicine, you may consider Homeopathy and/or Ayurveda. How far they may help will be known only after starting the treatment, for which you need to consult qualified and experienced doctors (in their individual subjects) in person.

The child's problems need to be understood more.. did these behaviours started or increased recetly? How was his academic performance? His behaviour while performing other activities, at school also need to be assessed etc so that we can come to a conclusion. Do consult a psychologist for proper evaluation of the behaviour and necessary steps to handle the issues.
Next Steps
Roughly, make a time-table and come in agreement with the child. his favourite activities (watching TV or playing) can be used as reinforcer/prize for finishing the tasks (homework etc) given. this technique needs much detailing and work up based on your child's capabilities, behavioural issues and routine. do consult a psychologist who can guide you properly. good luck
