As your mother is a diabetic, hypertensive and suffered paralysis attack it is important to maintain her BP and sugar levels under control. When sugar levels are high we alter the dose of existing tablets or add additional tablets or insulin depending on FBS, PLBS and HBA1c. So it is difficult to suggest one medication for sugar control with out knowing her current medications.
