Diabetes 2 treatment

Hope u r fine.
Am diabetic 2 for 7 yrs age 50yrs old.
On duotrol twice daily . FBS 6.5--8 and random 9-12.
Last my dr changed me to glimeperide 4mg once and piosafe 15/500 twice But sugar level is higher than on duotrol.
Pse advise.
