Is it possible to to get the intellecutal abilities back after suffeeing from depression for 4 years, its easy for me to do small things which doesnt require much thinking but when I try to think about complex things in which I was good I just become depressed and its with many people who had an episode.Is it true or with time I will be the same. Im feeling this way fron 2 years even after changing many meds.

Hi. While being in the middle of depressive episode does tend to interfere with ones thinking and creativity, such impediments are reversible, and tend to clear up with proper treatment of the depressive episode. Therefore, as you recover from the effects of depression, you will soon find yourself regaining all your abilities. Hope this helps. Dr Shwetank Bansal
