Hey, Seems like you are a person who can stand up to the situations and use them as an aid to improve relationships than hiding, despising or running away from them. People usually tend to react to situations and be carried away in it's own direction just the way your sister in law did when she filed a complaint against her own well wishers, your husband did when he argued with his mother and your mother in law is doing by keeping her son & daughter in law away from her. You would have noticed one thing about all these reactions. They cause lot of pain and chaos and eventually get sorted out if there is love, commitment & appropriate communication existent in relations. Blame and criticism can never make other person realize his/her mistakes. Just keep doing what you have been doing. Maintain your calm and work in-line with the well-being of whole family. Be clear that your intention is to keep the family together irrespective of situations and most of the things you do has to match these intentions. In the mean time stop worrying about this temporary spat and try talking to your husband about things he said. There has to be a clarity between you guys on what was intended & how much came in the spur of moment, when he argued with his mother. Remember this too shall pass and family will come together as before. Take Care.
