A fixed prosthesis is possible but it has to be implant supported prosthesis. There are different designs but it depends on your X-ray and clinical examination as to what is indicated.

For replacing one tooth by fixed prosthesis, you need atleast one original tooth. But most commonly it needs two or more original tooth.
