After composite filling done than why dentists polishing this particular tooth. Its necessary or not.. ? And how much time take cavity to become decay hole... ?

After composite filling , polishing & finishing is being done along with oxygen inhibing layer present in the cream form in the polishing paste to make the surface resistant to decay by making it smooth & glossy to refrain food particles being attached thereby making it stainfree & in turn caries or cavity resistant. Thanks!
