Stress can cause menstrual irregularities, if your past cycles are regular, not to worry, wait for your menses to come or else you can take tablets for withdrawal bleeding

It could be due to stress and hormonal imbalance. Do regular physical activity like walking, exercise, yoga so that your weight is maintained. This can be followed by some tests and medical examination.

Menstrual cycle is closely associated with our brain, thyroid gland and many other factors including stress. A regular menstrual cycle reflects a healthy body and a healthy mind. So it is very much normal to skip a period whenever you are stressed. Your work and current pandemic situation might be a reason for stress which has lead to a disturbed sleep. A disturbed sleep/poor sleep hygeine leads to disturbance in normal functioning of hormonal cycle(circadian rhythm) which leads to irregular/inefficient  release of eggs from ovary and hence irregular periods occur.
Next Steps
Take Tablet Norethisterone CR (15 mg) once a day for 5 days. You will get your periods within a week after finishing  these pills.
Health Tips
Try to regularise your daily schedule. Try to eat at the same time every day. Also try sleeping and waking up at the same time. If you are facing difficulty in sleeping, reduce screen time (phone/tablet/laptop/tv) before going to bed. It will be very helpful. And incase you have gained a few kilos in last few months, try losing it in a healthy way.  Weight loss by healthy diet and exercise will help you restore your normal menstrual cycle and prevent such complaints in future.

If you are not sexually active since 1 year then you cannot be pregnant. 1.Stress can alter the menstrual cycle. 2.Also if you have had a rapid weight loss or gain in the last few months it can disrupt the menstrual cycle. 3. Sometimes an ovarian cyst among other conditions can also develop that can also disrupt your cycle.
Next Steps
Please get a ultrasound done of the pelvis. Preferably vaginal ultrasound to rule out a pathology. If everything is fine then a tablet can be taken to get your periods. A gynaecologist in your locality that does their own ultrasound will be able to guide you well. I strongly suggest showing a gynaecologist + a sonography before medication.
Health Tips
If your weight is more or less than what it should be according to the body mass index than you may continue to get irregular periods. Stress is something we are all dealing with in these times. Continuously worrying about some thing that you cannot change is only going to negatively affect you mentally and physically & will not change your circumstances. So try to deviate your mind to other positive thoughts. If you can change something in your life & remove the stress then do it.

There are many reasons for delayed periods but most common are hormone imbalance which can be due to stress, weight gain, obesity, thyroid deficiency, PCOD and so on.  One time delayed period is not a problem but if it continues then you have to evaluate the cause and take treatment along with life style modification.
