Hi, I am Dr. Nikhil Patil, I am a Homeopathic Consultant.              Skin cells grow and die everywhere on our body. But when it comes to scalp this process is little bit accelerated. Dead skin cells form a scale and all together it is called as dandruff. Dandruff isn't really about your hair, or how often you wash it or which shampoo you use, its about the skin on your scalp. A very common fungus called malassezia may contribute to dandruff. This fungus lives on the scalp of most healthy adults without causing any problems. One theory is that the immune system of someone with dandruff may overreact to that fungus.                To avoid dandruff you need to try and wash your hair daily with a mild shampoo.  Try not to scratch your scalp when using shampoo; instead, gently massage your scalp without scratching. Avoid using hair products such as hairspray and gel until the dandruff clears. Try and cover our head whenever your are travelling on bike. Dust and other things accumulate on your hair and finally drop on your scalp contributing into your dandruff problem.                There are so many medicines in Homeopathy which can help you with your dandruff problem but first try and maintain healthy diet and clean scalp. If problem persists we are hear to help you.                Thank You and have a great day ahead.
