I want to align my teeth. But don't know much  about the braces and there is a large category of braces suggested by Orthodontist to me. I am totally confused right now.

End results of any treatment are what matters. With so many options available I am sure it's quite a task to choose what is best for you....Make a decision based on: 1. Your esthetic demand (should your braces be visible) 2. Your finances ( As certain options might cost more) 3. Your commitment towards the treatment (Most important as you will be called up on a regular basis by your orthodontist) Hope this helps. Cheers!!!

Honestly it doesn't matter what braces appliance you choose. It's the skill level of orthodontist for which you are paying. Basic difference between metal and ceramic braces is it's appearance.  Self ligating is advanced appliance which helps teeth move faster than conventional braces.. Lingual appliance is for extremely esthetic consious people. Trust your orthodontist.
Health Tips
make sure you see an orthodontist MDS for treatment.. as it requires special skills..

Most of the orthodontic treatments work the same way and approximately the same duration. Its cost will purely depend on your preferences and choice of material to be used which will again depend upon how conscious you are with your appearance during and while your treatment.
Next Steps
Depending upon your preference and affordability choose the right orthodontic treatment and get started. The duration anyhow is longer compared to other dental procedures hence not advisable to waste time on decision making.
Health Tips
Your orthodontist is the best and right person to guide you with decision making hence dont think twice to take his opinion. Have a happy transition to a great smile!
