Covid vaccine for breast feeding mother
Hello, can a breast feeding mother go ahead and take covid vaccine, my baby is 13 month old and im still nursing her. Please reply can we take covid vaccine?

As per present guidelines covid vaccine is not being given to pregnant and lactating Women.
Next Steps
As your baby is 13 months old gradually you can wean your baby from mother's milk to cow milk and then can plan for covid vaccination

Yes covid vaccination can be taken by lactating mothers.

It’s recently recommended by FIGO also. No much clinical trials to demonstrate the risk or benefit.

Due to altered immunity during pregnancy and lactation, increased risk of getting infected. Highly recommended to go for your vaccine shot!
