CoVid Vaccine for Asthma
Hi,
I wanted to check if it is ok to take the covid Vaccine. My father has Asthma (Allergic Bronchitis). I was checking the composition of covishield vaccine and it is the following.
L-Histidine, L-Histidine hydrochloride monohydrate, Magnesium chloride hexahydrate, Polysorbate 80, Ethanol, Sucrose, Sodium chloride, Disodium edetate dihydrate (EDTA), Water for injection.
He usually has allergic reaction when he has some food that doesn't suit him.
Is it safe to take the vaccine?

If your father is allergic to any of the components in the vaccine, then there might be a problem. Since you will get him vaccinated at a tertiary hospital, any emergency can be managed.
