I had severe fever and cough problem in january which got fixed in a week with medications. However since then i get cough early morning when i wake up and slight chest pain or irritation. No fever, pain , weakness is there still i get cough everyday when i wake up. Please suggest what needs to be checked

This may be because of nasal dribbling or congestion.
Take anticold medicines for 2 weeks and see the difference.
Kindly consider for chest x ray and PNS x ray.
Post the reports so that more suggestions can be given.

1. Do U smoke or Drink ?? How frequent ??
2. Are you Losing wt ??
3. Hows your Appetite ??
Frm ur History most probable cause of ur cough is GERD, its due to reflux of acids frm stomach, Hav Dinner early, take brisk walk and sleep after 1hr of Dinner.
Some Antacids like Mucaine Gel can help. If ur smoker or Alcohol user limit use of substance.
However get ur ESR, Cxr done to rule out other causes of Such cough...

If your cough is there since three months,it needs to be investigated first. Get your haemogram and x ray chest done.then go to a physician for physical exam.are you loosing weight?are you suffering from any other medical condition?
