Cough problem to 1.5 month old baby

Asked for Female, 1 Years

My baby girl is suffering from cough problem from past 5-6 days...consulted doctor 4 days back and he prescribed cefpodoxime oral suspension IP but condition has not improved. Again consulted doc and he has now prescribed 5 day course of Inj. traxol 250 mg. Please suggest, if there is any alternate oral medicine which can help.

Please do CBC CRP,X-ray chest if cough is not improving with antibiotic. May be it's viral,or serious bacterial infection. Investigation will help to differentiate between 2. Can start stop.chericoff LS if it's productive cough.
