Cough and Fever

Asked for Male, 3 Years

After recovering from fever the baby still has a cough. We are giving azithral as antibiotic. Any suggestion if we should give cough syrup also as baby is coughing during sleep and he is getting chest pain due to the underlying cough. Please provide suggestions.
