Cough after angioplasty
Hi, My father under went angioplasty on last month 14th ,now he is coughing even after consulting regular physician. Cardiologist medicines includes-Ramistar(Rampril) and Reduced LV function (EF 44%). Worried about cough is not controlled.

Ramipril can have a side effect of cough and if it is severe then you need to consider stopping the medication and replacing it with another blood pressure medication. Since you have undergone and angioplasty and you have mild LV dysfunction, before doing any changes in your medication you should get back to your primary cardiologist and discuss the same because your complete history and details are known to him.
