Corona positive after taking first shot
My father took first shot of covid vaccine last week. After that he got fever, sore throat, tastelessness and body pain. Today he got covid test positive. Same happened with my mother. But she didn't take vaccine. She is having slight fever and tastelessness only. No other symptoms. They have been given basic kit for cold and fever. And they are also quarantined in home. What medicines can be given to effectively eradicate the symptoms.

Sir Its possible to get covid positive even after vaccinating but the vaccination will prevent the disease from getting serious. Just give symptomatic treatment for the fever cough myalgia etc. But most important keep a watch on their oxygen saturation with a good quality pulse oximeter and respiratory rate. If the oxygen saturation drops below 95% then they may need specific treatment like steroids, remdesivir, favipiravir, oxygen supplementation etc. as long as its above 95% its mild disease and needs home care only. But most important is mask wearing and isolation to prevent transmission to others.
