Contact lenses
I have got glasses 5 years back. I have been wearing daily. Now I am thinking of wearing contact lenses. Is contact lens safe? What are the precautions to be taken to wear lenses? And what are the benefits?

The safety of contact lenses depends on how hygienically you handle the lenses. Wash your hands with soap before removing or applying them, never sleep with them on. Change the solution in the case everyday.  wash the case every week. Change the case every couple of months. You should have no problem if you follow these rules. Take it from someone who has been using lenses for the past 16 years.

Hi there...I can understand your concern. It is totally upto you if you want to change over to contact lens. The advantage is mainly cosmetic appearance only. It will be slightly more expensive than spectacles. Also using contact lens doesn't mean, you completely stop using spectacle. Contact lens can be used from 6 hours to 13 hours per day depending on the brand. Contact lens are safe but must be used in a very hygienic environment. Infections can be easily transmitted from dirty hands to eyes. So you mist always clean, while handling them. Kindly consult an ophthalmologist they will help you further.
