Constant fever for two months
My mother has been suffering from fever since 2 months temp. is around 100-101 F. She is diagnosed with Growth in E.Coli. and Typhoid although Widal test found positive few days back. She has taken too many antibiotics and cefotaxime injection. But due too late diagnosis of Widal its treatment start late. Widal test is 1:160.Please suggest medicine to cure her early.

Inj Monocef 1 GM twice perday x 10 days,, inj levoflox once perday x 10 days,, inj Amicin 500 twice perday x 10days,, Check KFT, LFT , GBP, Urinalysis, Also USG Abdomen,, CXR PA ,, before starting antibiotics,

Most probably her urinary infection has not been treated completely. She needs to have a urine culture done and started on appropriate antibiotics. Widal Test is not confirmatory for typhoid.
