Hi doctor,
I had done composite filling three months back for filling some gap in my front row. I just need to know whether I have to do any maintenence for the same.
And one more doubt, can I remove the filling after some years if I wish to?
Thanks in advance.!

hi, first u have to know, we can do composite filling for front teeth gap but it should be certain m.m gap ,if it is beyond level better go for other treatment like orthodontic or ceramic cap .
maintenance like should not give more pressure on filling area, don't take stain creating material like coca cola, don't do traction moment, do properly brush with brushing technic

Composite fillings are one of the best materials available in dentistry for anterior tooth fillings and for gap closures like how u had underwent. However with time these materials might take up the food stains such a coffee etc and may change in colour. In such case refillings need to be done.
However in your case for gap closure, you will be able to remove them when you want though a permanent solution of orthodontic gap closure or Veneers may be better since you need not undergo repeated fillings.
