Colloid cyst left lobe of tyroid removed
My mother Age 43 had colloidal cyst in neck near tyroid gland.With Ultrasound it was detected that it is non cancerous cyst.and with niddle pathologist removed that cyst from neck it was normal. Biopsy of that fliud also done and reports came normal.Tyroid test initial were normal but now had T4 with 16 units ,4 units above to normal and she is undergoing treatment. Bt problem is with her neck pain.She is suffering from neck pain severely ,tell how to cure it & is there any possibility of cancer

Once fine needle aspiration cytology is normal cancer is ruled out. Colloidal cysts are very common lesions  and usually benign. She might be taking levothyroxine tablets which might have raised T4 levels. She needs to stop any thyroid replacement medicines. Usually colloid cysts are not painful and other causes for neck pain needs to be ruled out
